Veggie Spy & Versatile Vegan

Wanna “beet” the heat? Tons of fresh produce contain high water content and electrolytes! Beets are 87% water and contain important electrolytes, like potassium, to keep you hydrated. Stay cool out there!

Blueberries: Blueberry Patch & Moreland Fruit Farms

Batavian lettuce: Oakleaf

Heirloom tomatoes: Raber Organics & others

Beets: Drift Hills & Franklinton

The Versatile Vegan suggests you start your day the blueberry way with these Blueberry Muffin Overnight Oats

https://www.veganricha.com/wprm_print/33011.

The Versatile Vegan loves beets and thinks you should too! Grab some potatoes from Raber and carrots from any one of several producers and make this Russian Beet and Potato Salad.

And if that doesn't make you a beet lover, we're resorting to double chocolate with these Fudgy Vegan Double Chocolate Beet Muffins. Enjoy!

Food Truck: Holy Crepes

We are thrilled to welcome Holy Crepes back to the market! Offering a variety of both sweet and savory crepe creations, you’re sure to find a great breakfast or brunch tomorrow!

Find the truck in front of US Bank on the eat side of High Street.

Community Table

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) is Central Ohio’s voice. As a regional council with 90 local governments and community partners, we provide nonpartisan data analysis, community resources and long-range planning. We are joining the Farmers Market because we are conducting an active transportation study for the communities surrounding the US 23 corridor. The intent of the study is to identify opportunities to improve access and connectivity for all user types in tandem with the implementation of ODOT's Route 23 Connect improvements. So, whether you walk, bike, or roll – for commuting, errands, or recreation – we want to hear from you! Your input will help inform a list of prioritized projects and an action plan to guide future investments to bicycle and pedestrian improvements along and around this critical regional corridor.

Learn more about MORPC’s plans for Worthington — stop by Booth #69 next to the Dewey’s Pizza Plaza.

SNAP/EBT & Produce Perks

Staying hydrated helps beat the heat! Many fruits and veggies have a high water content and don’t require any cooking- so they make a great summer snack to keep you cool and hydrated. You can get extra fruits and vegetables for FREE when you shop with SNAP/EBT at participating farmers' markets and grocery stores. Visit https://buff.ly/3rFuiz6 to learn more.

A Reminder to BYOWB

As summer temperatures climb, we encourage you to stay hydrated during your visit to the market! Remember to BYOWB (bring your own water bottle) and refill it at the The Worthington Partnership Green Team's water bottle filling station and drinking fountain located on the Southwest Village Green. In order to reduce our plastic waste, the Market is no longer selling bottled water.

And please keep the health and comfort of your pets in mind as well. Surface temperatures, even grass, rise quickly and can damage their paws. On especially hot days, give your furry friends a break and leave them home in the A/C!
