Dewey's PizzaMove over Chicago and New York City! With the arrival of Dewey’s Pizza in August 2013, Worthington has made quite a name for itself among pizza lovers. Known for their exceptional customer service, hand-tossed dough, delicious sauce and unique, always-fresh toppings, Dewey’s Pizza has created a recipe for success.

Founded in Cincinnati in 1998 by Andrew Dewitt “Dewey”, the company now boasts 17 locations in five different cities. With a passion for neighborhoods, Dewey’s seeks to open stores in family friendly communities with easy pedestrian access. It’s no surprise they were enamored by the charm of Downtown Worthington. They purchased an old, vacant gas station at 640 High Street and underwent a renovation that maintained the building’s architectural integrity and added yet another hotspot to the already bustling downtown.

According to Tom Sheehan, general manager of the Worthington store, the focus of Dewey’s is to provide a quality pizza in a cool atmosphere with exceptional hospitality. “Our motto is to bring together warm, caring, intelligent people who love to serve,” said Sheehan. It appears

to be working. “We are constantly receiving compliments about our staff,” he added. And the love doesn’t stop at the door. In 2009, the company founded the DewMore Initiative, a non-profit designed to give back to local communities. To date, they have raised more than $100,000 and logged 700 volunteer hours.

Dewey’s Pizza is open every day and serves a wide variety of pizzas, salads and calzones, including seasonal dishes as well. Whether you’re meeting up with a colleague for lunch, taking the kids’ soccer team out after a big game or just grabbing a drink with friends off the amazing local beer and wine menu, you’re sure to have a great time at Dewey’s Pizza.
