THIS WEEK’S PARTICIPATING VENDORS

MARKET MAP

REMINDER: On June 14, the Worthington Farmers Market is a co-occurring event with the Worthington Arts Festival. Market vendors normally located on the Village Greens will be relocated throughout historic downtown for June 14 only. A temporary map and vendor listing will be published in next week’s newsletter.

Park It at the Market!

We get it -- parking at the market can be a challenge. And while streetside parking may be convenient, neighborhoods on Evening Street, Oxford Street and Morning Street can easily become traffic deadlocks and create safety risks when too many people park there. Please try to avoid these areas and try a few of these options:

Get Your Steps In

  • Just a block or two north of 161:

    • Fresh Thyme Market

    • City National Bank, across from DQ

    • Ace Hardware (the spots closer to High Street, away from the building)

    • Cam Taylor Realtors (882 High Street)

    • Signature Dental (825 High Street)

  • South of the Post Office:

    • United Midwest Bank

    • Jerman Family Dental (510 High Street, south of Chapala)

Be Kind

  • If you park on a residential street, please don't block any driveways or alleys!

  • Handicap Accessible parking is limited. If you don't have a handicap parking permit (license plate or window tag), PLEASE don't park in these spaces specifically reserved for the mobility-impaired.

Interactive Market Map

Check it out at https://www.experienceworthington.com/farmers-market-vendors!

Find out where your favorite vendors are located and when they’ll be there! Hover over any booth number to see who’s there. There’s a zoom in/out feature as well to get a bird’s eye view or up close and personal by clicking on a specific booth number to see vendor ID information.

Search for specific products. Find vendor contact information for placing pre-orders or asking questions directly via email or phone!

This is a screen capture image of the map. To access/use its interactive features, use the link provided above.

Veggie Spy & Versatile Vegan

The Veggie Spies discovered a tasty and rare treat at the market- maitake mushrooms (more commonly known as hen of the woods)!

Maitake (hen of the woods) mushrooms: @New Path

Garlic scapes: @Tilley

Purple kohlrabi: @Franklinton Farms

Baby bok choy: @Feed Me Tomatoes

Maitake (Hen-of-the-woods) mushrooms are earthy, delicate, and versatile. The Versatile Vegan suggests you try this Maitake Mushroom Stroganoff:

Or, make your next Taco Tuesday vegan with this maitake taco recipe:

Purple kohlrabi doesn't taste different then the standard greenish ones, but they sure look cool! Get some spinach from Rock Dove, Franklinton Farms or others and try this Creamed Kohlrabi and Spinach recipe:
