The Convention & Visitors Bureau of Worthington is a destination marketing organization that promotes the greater Worthington area as a unique visitor destination. The Bureau aggressively promotes the area’s assets to professional convention and meeting planners, group tours, corporate and leisure travelers by promoting area hotels, attractions, restaurants, retail establishments and community events.
By establishing solid working relationships with other area destination marketing organizations, such as Experience Columbus, the Bureau capitalizes on joint marketing opportunities and partnerships to get the most value out of our marketing dollars.
The Bureau develops advertising campaigns in travel industry publications, exhibits at visitor related tradeshows and produces a community video, visitor brochure and calendar of events. Social media and weekly blogs highlight businesses and events.

Mindy is proud to promote Worthington as the perfect visitor destination every day. Her excitement for what Worthington has to offer the visitor is as high as when she started this journey 18 years ago. Mindy discovered the hospitality industry when she was a meeting planner at The Ohio State University which led her to take a Director of Sales position in the hotel industry. While working on the hotel side, she worked closely with the former Greater Columbus Convention and Visitors Bureau, now known as Experience Columbus. While building that relationship and learning what a convention bureau’s mission is, she knew she wanted to promote Columbus as a visitor destination. After holding several positions there over a 14 year period, from convention services to national sales director covering the national association market in Washington, D. C., she discovered destination marketing was the segment of the hospitality industry she enjoyed the most.
When the opportunity to promote Worthington as a visitor destination came her way, she jumped at the chance. She is proud to showcase Worthington to convention and meeting planners, the group tour market and corporate and leisure travelers. While Worthington maintains its charm, it also is experiencing great change and growth which is exciting and allows for constant new marketing opportunities.
